Man's condition is directly related to the type of grace he receives from God. This truth is illustrated in the following chart.
When speaking of God the Holy Spirit and His work, as the Spirit of life and grace, we must clearly maintain distinct differences between His common and saving graces. While both result in life-giving and life-maintaining blessings, those of common grace are only temporal and pertain to natural life. The blessings of saving grace are eternal and result in spiritual life.
