When shopping, she loves to look for new posters, especially any of her favorite rock stars.

Patricia's idolization of male rock singers, especially her favorite ones, has grown slowly but steadily.

How is Patricia continually breaking God's first commandment?

People can also commit religious idolatry by regarding God's people or angels as God. All prayer to, or adoration of, saints or angels is strictly forbidden in Scripture. The assigning of any divine attributes to any creature is idolatrous. God is and remains God alone. Men or angels must never be the objects of religious affection or trust, nor may they ever be asked for blessings that only God can give.

Can you name other types of people that are idolized by many in our society today?

And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.

But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.

- Acts 10:25-26

And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men cf like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein.

- Acts 14:13-15

And I fell at his feet to worship him, and he said unto me, see thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

- Revelation 19:10
