1. Does Christ gather a Church through His internal call?

Yes

2. Where is this Church?

Here on earth and in heaven.

3. What name is given to the Church on earth?

The Church Militant because it is engaged in continual warfare (Rom. 7:23).

4. Who are the enemies of the Church Militant?

The world, the devil, and our own flesh.

5. What name is given to the Church in heaven?

The Church Triumphant, for the Church in heaven has overcome all things (Rev. 7:9).

6. Are these two different churches?

No, but two distinct parts of the same living Church (Eph. 1:10).

7. Is there more than one true Church?

No. "My dove, my undefiled, is but one" (Song of Solomon 6:9). The Church is everywhere and in all ages the same Church (John 10:16).

8. Will the living Church always be on earth?

Yes. "The gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Matt. 16:18).

9. Is the Church equally visible at all times?

No, the Church may be nearly invisible during times of persecution.

10. Does the Church continue to exist when nearly invisible?

Yes, just as in the days of Elijah, who supposed he was left alone, although there were seven thousand who had not bent their knees before Baal (I Kings 19:14-18).

11. Who is the Head of the Church?

Jesus Christ. "Christ is the Head of the Church" (Eph. 5:23).

12. Is the Pope of Rome the Head of the Church?

No, he represents the Antichrist.

13. How do we know the Pope represents the Antichrist?

Everything foretold of the Antichrist has been, is, and will be fulfilled in Rome's succession of popes.

14. What are the marks of the true Church?

The pure preaching of God's Word, the proper administration of the sacraments, and the biblical exercise of Christian discipline.

15. Is antiquity a mark of the Church?

No, for Satan's kingdom is also old.

16. Is the vast number of members a mark of the true Church?

No, Christ's true Church is a little flock (Luke 12:32).

17. Is prosperity in this world a mark of the true Church?

No. "In the world ye shall have tribulation" (John 1:33).

18. In what does the authority of the church exist?

In exercising the keys of the kingdom of heaven.

19. How many keys are there?

Two; the preaching of the gospel and Christian discipline.

20. Is it sufficient for us to be an outward member of the church?

No, we must examine ourselves whether we are a living member of the Church.
