d. After death personal judgment takes place, not a "second chance."

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.

e. The day of salvation is now, not in the intermediate state after one's death.

For He is our God; and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today if ye will hear His voice, Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness.

For He saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

f. God judges each person according to that which he has done on earth, not in the intermediate state.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

-II Corinthians 5:10

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

-Galatians 6:7-8

Regardless of whether a person is saved or unsaved, his condition of life or death is lived out during his temporal life on earth. Each individual's condition is developed further in his intermediate and final states, but each of these steps is only a furthering of the same development; they are not changes of course. The unregenerated are dead in sins and trespasses (Ephesians 2:1) and are living without God's saving grace during their temporal life on earth. This leads to spiritual hell in their intermediate state, and to physical and spiritual hell in their final state. The regenerated are made spiritually alive and have passed from death unto life (John 5:24). They experience God's saving grace during their temporal life on
